2. Who may use Camplist

You must be at least 13 years old to use Camplist directly. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use it only with a parent or guardian’s permission and supervision. Where local law requires parental-authority consent at a higher age, that rule applies.

Children under 13 cannot hold direct application access. A parent or guardian may add them as a Managed Camper with no sign-in, access email, magic link, or profile. The adult is responsible for using only the minimum, ordinary trip information needed for that child.

3. Accounts, sign-in, and invitations

You may start planning with a browser-bound guest session. Confirming a recovery email creates an account for sharing and cross-device access. Browser sessions, email links, six-digit codes, connected Google or Microsoft identities, optional passwords, and invitation links are private access credentials. A connected provider email may differ from your recovery email and does not replace it.

• Do not forward an access email or named invitation to someone who should not have the trip.
• Tell your Host if you joined the wrong camper position or received access by mistake.
• Use Sign Out Everywhere if a device or access link may be compromised.
• You are responsible for activity performed through your active access unless the law says otherwise.

4. Hosts, Planners, Campers, and Managed Campers

The Host is responsible for inviting the right people, assigning planning access carefully, supervising minors, and handling ordinary crew communication. A role label is not a guarantee of a person’s identity.

5. Your trip content

You keep ownership of content you add. You give Camplist a limited permission to store, copy, transmit, display, and process it only as needed to run, secure, back up, and improve the service.

You authorize people on your trip to view shared trip plans. Your Personal list starts private; choosing to share it gives the Host and Planners read-only access for that trip. Camplist is a packing checklist, not a medical record or medication-management service. Keep Personal Item labels general and do not add medication names, doses, diagnoses, medical instructions, or other sensitive information.

If you leave or delete your identity, shared planning entries may remain without a link to you so another Host’s trip does not unexpectedly lose its list. Your Personal list and active membership are removed as described in the Privacy notice.

6. Use Camplist respectfully

Do not use Camplist to:

• break the law, violate another person’s rights, or share harmful or unlawful content;
• harass, threaten, stalk, exploit, or impersonate someone;
• collect information about children outside the Managed Camper boundaries;
• probe, bypass, or interfere with authentication, permissions, rate limits, private trip channels, or service security;
• send spam, automate invite-code guessing, scrape private trips, introduce malware, or overload the service;
• reverse engineer the service except where applicable law clearly permits it.

We may limit or end access to protect people, trip data, or the service.

7. Privacy

The Privacy notice explains what Camplist collects, how trip crews and service providers receive information, our firm position on children’s data, the retention schedule, and your export and deletion controls. Those practices form part of these Terms.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Camplist reliable, but camping plans should never depend on uninterrupted service. Features may change, pause, or be removed, and the service may be unavailable during maintenance, outages, or events outside our control. Keep a printable or offline copy of anything you must have at camp.

We may update these Terms. We will change the date above and provide reasonable notice inside the service when a change materially affects existing users.

10. Security reports

Send security concerns privately to campdirector@makeacamplist.com. Do not publicly post access links, invitation codes, personal information, or vulnerability details, and never send a password or confirmation code.

11. Ending access and deleting data

You may stop using Camplist at any time. In Account you can download your personal data, revoke sessions, and delete your account. Hosts can delete individual trips from Trip Settings.

Deleting account data signs out devices, removes credentials and personal checklist information, deletes trips you Host, and removes your membership from other trips. Working copies of deleted trips are scheduled for permanent removal within 30 days.

12. Disclaimers and limits

Camplist is provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent the law permits, we do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for every trip.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Camplist is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost plans, opportunities, profits, goodwill, or data arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights, remedies, warranties, or liability that applicable consumer-protection law does not allow us to exclude.

13. Governing law and the whole agreement

These Terms are governed by the laws of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, unless mandatory consumer law where you live requires otherwise. Courts located in Manitoba will have jurisdiction where the law permits.

If one part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest remains in effect. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver. These Terms and the Privacy notice are the agreement about your use of Camplist.

Annual subscriptions

When subscriptions launch, Camplist Plus and Camplist Unlimited renew annually until you turn off renewal in Account. The price and any applicable tax are shown before you confirm checkout. EUR and AUD consumer prices include tax; CAD and USD show applicable tax separately where required. Stripe Managed Payments will handle the transaction as Merchant of Record through Link.

Turning off renewal stops the next renewal. Paid benefits continue until the end of the current paid term, with no ordinary prorated cancellation refund. This does not remove applicable statutory rights or exceptional refund processes administered by Stripe Managed Payments. Existing trips keep the benefit level they earned; new trips and reusable actions follow the current account plan.

Optional reminders and tips are separate consent choices and never a condition of using any plan.
